Default option: disable clouds in world map

yet again a minor annoyance but still one,

trying to get 100% cartographer an looking at the map for possible areas not yet explored (99.5%) this is kindof difficult for clouds keep passing over areas so one has to wait till they cross the place before one can actually be sure its already explored or not...
the shadows from the clouds have lured me to already fully explored areas to kill numerous monsters an waste hours jst to realize, been there done that

so a simple checkbox in options -> graphicks to remove the clouds from the world map please

or is there some way to remove them already?

Max out your [U] map, there's no clouds in that. The info is in the relevant threads, but they are rather big so I can understand if you didn't see it. You can even drag it around.
